This guide covers the complete trade lifecycle — from placing a trade to completion, including timers, cancellation, payment timeouts, and everything in between.

Understanding the Trade Lifecycle

Every trade goes through a series of states in a simplified auto-acceptance flow:

Payment Pending → Payment Confirmed → Completed
       ↓                ↓                ↓
  Cancelled        Cancelled        Disputed → Dispute Resolved
       ↓
  Auto-Expired (if payment timeout)

Key Change: Trades are automatically accepted when placed. There is no longer a "Pending" state waiting for seller acceptance. Funds are immediately locked in escrow and the payment timer starts.

The trade detail page shows a visual progress tracker at the top so you always know where the trade stands.

If something goes wrong during a trade, the platform provides dispute and appeal mechanisms to protect both parties.

When to Open a Dispute

A dispute should be opened when:

The buyer has marked payment as sent, but the seller has not actually received the money.
Only the seller can open a dispute.
Disputes are only available during the Payment Confirmed status (after the buyer claims they sent payment).

Note: If a timer has expired, use an appeal instead of a dispute.

How to Open a Dispute

Go to the trade detail page (Dashboard > Trades, then click the trade).
In the Action Required section, click Open Dispute (red button).
Read the dispute terms:

No fee is charged when opening a dispute.
An administrator will review evidence from both parties.
The $4.99 fee is charged to the losing party only.

Enter a detailed reason explaining why you are disputing.

Include specific details: dates, amounts, transaction references.
Explain what happened and what you expected.
Mention any evidence you have (screenshots in chat, transaction IDs).

Click Submit.
The trade status changes to Disputed.

Getting Started

This guide walks you through creating your account, logging in, and navigating the PG P2P Platform.

Creating an Account

Go to the Sign Up page (/signup).
Enter your full name.
Enter your email address.
Choose a password (minimum 8 characters) and confirm it.
Click Sign Up.
You will be logged in automatically and redirected to the dashboard.

Tip — Team Invitations: If someone invited you via a team link, your email will be pre-filled and the team name and role are displayed. The button changes to "Accept Invitation & Sign Up". After signing up, you automatically join that team and can start trading right away.

Note: If you are in a restricted country, you will see a Country Restricted banner and will not be able to create an account.

Logging In

Go to the Login page (/login).
Enter your email and password.
Choose a session duration:

1 day
7 days (default)
30 days
90 days

Optionally check Auto login on this device to stay logged in automatically.
Click Sign In.

Note: If you are in a country that has been restricted by the platform, you will see an access denied message instead.

Browsing the Marketplace

The marketplace is where you find trade offers from other users. You can browse, filter, and place trades on offers that match what you are looking for.

Navigating to the Marketplace

Log in to your account.
In the sidebar, click Marketplace.
The marketplace page loads with all public trade offers.

Understanding Offer Cards

Each offer card displays:

Type — Whether the creator wants to Buy or Sell crypto
Asset — The cryptocurrency being traded (BTC, ETH, USDT, etc.)
Price — The price per unit of the asset
Currency — The fiat currency for payment (USD, EUR, HTG, etc.)
Min / Max Amount — The trade amount range the creator accepts
Available Amount — How much of the asset is still available to trade
Payment Methods — Which payment methods the creator accepts (shown as badges, first 3 displayed with an overflow count for additional methods)
Creator Name — Who posted the offer
Trade Terms — A preview of the creator's trading rules (truncated on the card)

Important: A "Buy" offer means the creator wants to buy crypto — so if you trade on it, you are the seller. A "Sell" offer means the creator wants to sell — you are the buyer.

Creating & Managing Trade Offers

Trade offers are listings you create in the marketplace. They advertise your intent to buy or sell cryptocurrency at a specific price.

Navigating to My Offers

Log in to your account.
In the sidebar, click My Offers.
You see a table of all your created offers with their current status.

Creating a New Offer

Click Create Offer on the My Offers page (or from the dashboard header). A 4-step wizard guides you through the process.

Note: If your account has a trading restriction, a warning alert appears at the top of the dialog.
